Hi, I rarely post anymore, but thought I would offer some help to anyone that uses Alinia for their pouchitis. This drug is insanely expensive and even with insurance, I don't see how anyone would possibly be willing to pay for it at those costs. Took me a long time to finally find a pharmacy with a good price. Carepoint Pharmacy, it's mail order, and it's about $.30/pill. I get 60 for $198 out of pocket. Anywhere else, they quote me $3000-15,000 for that quantity. Yes, it's still way more expensive than the traditional, generic antibiotics, but after being on them for 14 years, I need lots of options for rotation.
