Does anyone else get aggravated when friends & family try to give you advice on how to stay hydrated??  You have to drink more! Really? It amazes me how everyone is an expert on how I should keep hydrated. It drives me absolutely crazy.  if it was that easy, I wouldn’t be in the ER getting fluids or posting on this site.  Duh, Don’t need Reminding. 😩

Actually, I wish my wife would remind me to drink more or make sure I carry extra fluids with me when we go out.

twice in the last two weeks I have let myself slip into the first signs of dehydration. You know the point where you feel real sluggish and just want to lay down. I drink a quart of Gatorade to snap me out of it. Luckily I did not start to feel dizzy or get to a point for a trip to the ER.

It seems like reminders of what we should be doing when we already know what to do can definitely be annoying.  You have the power to control your own body and that should be respected.  Oh...except not if you have a uterus.  Then your body is owned by the state, at least in the US.  Also, our country wants the earth to burn as fast as possible.  So we don't just want women in our country to be miserable, we want EVERYONE to be miserable.  Drinking water won't help.  I'm more embarrassed to be from the US than ever.

Thank you for understanding my post and I totally agree with yours!

I think when we aren’t well to begin with everything is annoying.  Try drinking smarter - mostly electrolytes my favorites are coconut water and vitamin water.  Also ask your doctor if you can get preventative IVs regularly if it’s an ongoing problem for you.  Thankfully I love salt and drinking lots of fluids so I haven’t had that problem yet.
