im 18.5 weeks pregnant and I feel like I am not showing! Is it because there is more room in there due to the colon being gone? Sounds silly but it's a serious question. I am down 6 pounds since my frozen egg transfer due to severe morning sickness but I still thought I'd have a nice belly bump by now!

My OB had said that because of the scar tissue on my stomach my stomach would not get too large. Scar tissue doesn't stretch as easily as skin. I was always on the small side but the babe was doing great the whole time. I know I had a bump at 18 weeks but it was easily hideable. Also first pregnancies tend to show much later.
It's hard not to worry about every little thing. Especially after going through IVF to get to this point. But if your doctor isn't concerned then I'm sure everything is fine.
Also, Congrats!!
I've always been super tiny so they have been watching me closely. At first they thought it was just because I was tiny but it turned out that baby was on the small side. I ended up doubling my calories and it looks like baby will be 6 pounds when born on Friday. You may find you will get a high risk designation because of the IVF and the j pouch (I did)
I'm not sure the reason (whether it was first pregnancy, no colon, or scar tissue), but I never got a super big belly, and my son was 7 lb 9 oz at birth. I don't think I had a legit bump until around 25 weeks or so. I remember being excited to show and disappointed it took so long, but in the end I think I got lucky, because my stomach shrank down within a week or so. I'm now almost 3 months pp, and while my belly isn't as flat as it was before pregnancy, I don't think it looks like I was pregnant (no loose skin/stretch marks).
