I've had the same routine, more or less, since 1991 when I read the Fit for Life book and found a solution (for me) to a lot of my pouch problems like digestion, pouchitis and thick output.

Mornings are only fluids, water, juice, black coffee. That allows me to clear out my pouch 100%

At around 10am I eat a banana or other fruit. Sometimes more. Depends on the day and where I am working (outside or from home)

At noon it is usually a protein with a vegetable. It can be cheese with cherry tomatoes and radishes, Greek yogurt with veggies or chicken and a green veggie or salad. Lately since I am working from home it is a hot, homemade vegetable soup (blended) and hard cheese with a Greek yogurt for dessert.

By 4pm I need a snack, usually either something sweet or a carb...it can be toast or crackers (I'm cutting out gluten due to persistent rashes whenever I eat it so now it is corn or rice-based)...That is my danger-time...I need food fast...so I can jump on anything.

Dinner is meat or chicken with a steamed green vegetable like artichokes, asparagus, or broccoli.

I'm a sugar-aholic, tend to eat a lot of sweets so that is usually at night, after dinner (I really shouldn't).

Other than the rare occasion, I sleep through the night, have no problems emptying although with all of the vegetables I tend to have a thicker output and need to irrigate often...I can avoid that by drinking grape or prune juice but I don't usually bother.

I clear my pouch out every morning. My fluids mean that before noon every runs clear. That seems to help me to not get pouchitis.

I never eat a meal until I have cleared out my pouch because I tend to get blockages.

Pre-gluten problems I would have a large bowl of whole-grain pasta with oil and parma in the afternoons...it would hold me til dinner whenever I was working from home...now I have a puréed vegetable like pumpkin.

It thickens the output a bit but it is still manageable.
