Some of you can't gain weight.

My forties are adding up!  I'm 5'2" and weighed 123lbs for YEARS. Now, I'm up to 135lbs!

I used to eat everything, but now am more careful about fibrous stuff. Got depressed with the fistula, and steroids and birth control has added it on me (also eating worse than ever in my life, when I honestly turn the finger at myself and scrutinize).

But I don't know how to change it!  I used to eat well and exercise; I'm no where near as proactive these days.

Any tips?  I'm frustrated with myself.

i am a man.  I am 5 feet 7, 14 year old j-pouch here. and i weigh 235-240 lbs. always have been around this weight for years after my one step j-pouch surgery.

i know what its like to be overweight with a pouch, dieting isnt easy. i am a foodie type.

some of us just seem to absorb every calorie that crosses our lips/enters our mouth.

years ago, before my j-pouch surgery, i went to a support group meeting for those with j-pouches or planning on surgery, and i reckon i was the only heavier person there. everyone was ill from their colitis issues or just naturally slim.

i dont think my weight has anything to do with my pouch function of moving my bowels 8 to 12 times a day. i think it is just my outcome, and im okay with that.

facing the probability of a rectal resection and re-anastomosis here as i have an advanced amt of polyps in the rectum and my dr who never scoped me until recently october 6th, confirmed i have an elongated rectum for a jpoucher, and it can be shortened to remove the large cluster of polyps i have.

i refuse to diet and im okay with my weight...
