Hello, I was diagnosed with UC when I was 18, a LONG time ago. I lived with it for 5 years before having the surgery. I had the J pouch built, which included removing a portion of my rectum. Recently I've developed a pain deep in my rectum that has an achy type feel along with a slight burning feel. My wife and mother(who still worries to death about me, bless her heart!) floated a theory that I may have developed UC in the cuff or the portion of rectum I have left. Is this possible? I sure hope not, but if that were to be possible, I'm the guy who would have it!
