I joined up here not too long ago.

I'm currently between surgeries 2 and 3. I'm having issues with my Loop ileostomy but trying a variety of different things for a solution.
I had a hysterectomy during surgery 2 due to other issues I've been living with years. Because of the double surgery, I don't know what recovery symptoms/issues are for which surgery. This can get fun sometimes trying to figure out which doc to call. Smiler

More about me a person instead of a patient..

Do not have two legged children but consider my 4 legged furbabies my children. (and like them much more than the average 2 legged child/teen anyway)

Bookworm. Worked in a bookstore for 6 and half years as a "fun" job and every DC day (truck delivery day from the warehouse) was a small Christmas for me. We went out of business because the mall we were in got offered more rent for our space than we were paying. 6 months later our parent company went bankrupt.

I'm a BIG Animal lover and I support many rescue organizations as best I can with sharing their adoptable animals on my facebook wall and other such things.

I work in Memphis but live in a semi rural area an hour from work.

Anyone else from the Memphis area here?

Hi TN!!
I'm not from the Memphis area but just had to say hello cuz you sound alot like me!!
I also love animals and have a couple of rescued fur babies, too!! I am a huge reader and am currently working my way thru Ken Follet's Fall of Giants during the holidays! I am teacher by profession.
I am six months post take down and taking it one day at a time! I have my good days n bad days like anyone.
I wish you the very best with your health and your upcoming takedown!! Hang in there- you will do great!! : )
Nice to meet you!

The fact you are still having bad days 6 months after takedown scares me some. I've had lots of complications after surgeries 1 and 2. (a blood clot in each lung and my left leg 100% inclused from groin down after after 1 and two different infections after 2)

I'm hoping I'll be one of the lucky ones for #3 and having the third being "the charm".

Jen
