Re: Time between surgical steps

So I had step 1 of a 2 step jpouch operation done in February. Under normal circumstances step 2 would be in May but with corona virus going around i think there’s a good chance it will have to get delayed. Is there a maximum amount of time a jpouch can be inside you without being used? Thanks for the info.

There’s no particular maximum amount of time. Some people do develop inflammation called “diversion pouchitis,” and the solution to that is to do the next step of the surgery, if possible.
