Yes it is...not to be graphic or anything but hubby was surprised. I didn't realise it (once menopaused I didn't need to deal with tampons) so it took a while for me to realise it. Hubby always waited until I was healed completely so it was 2 months post op before we tried anything and then it was obvious. Also the trajectory seemed to have changed, tilted a diffent way. It becomes a new learning experience.
By the way, it is not just the first surgery that does it. I had my proctocolectomy in 79...with anal closure in 80. Every time that they operate on my pouch, move it around etc there are changes down there.
Not always plesant surprises but you learn to work around them.
Lube, hormone creams, imagination and patience do the trick.
