A lot of dietary advice presumes that people have colons. This is particularly true of advice about fiber. It’s a reasonable assumption for a general-interest news article, but it isn’t applicable to most folks here.
Even if you have a colon, to my mind 30g is a lot.
Its really easy if you're a poucher you might already be taking it as a supplement. For non pouchers it comes down to eating complex carbs and veggies. The general issue is over usage of simple carbs like pasta, white breads and sugars which have no fiber per say.
