Hi Gang!
Well, I saw Dr Cohen, and he's agreed to repair my leaky K pouch valve. Ever since my last surgery on October 7th last year, my k pouch valve has leaked, forcing me to wear an ileostomy to collect the leakage. Being fed up with my "Kileostomy", Dr C agreed to not just repair the valve, but to completely replace it (thank god)! So...I see him again on April 11th for all the details, and to get my surgery date for early May (he insisted I wait a period of 7 months in between surgeries). This will be my fifth major surgery since June 2012, you'd think I be use to it by now, but you'd be wrong, I still get just as nervous as I did before my first major GI surgery back when I was 21 (I'm now 46, look 100, feel 200, act like a five year old!). So wish me luck, come hell or high water, I will come out of all of this with a properly functioning K pouch! (Oh yeah, also found out that my right hip and both wrists defiantly need surgery, ASAP, thanks to the osteoporosis and arthritis from years of Prednisone, just keeps getting better and better, if the goal is to have the most surgeries, I'm winning, ha ha!!!! ��
