About 6 weeks ago I finally had hernia repair because my J pouch was herniated after surgery 5 yr ago... well I am now suffering from a horrible bout of pouchitis, I was given antibiotics on Monday and I am doing better than I was, but I am still struggling with debilitating gas and going to the bathroom. =(
I have tried Gas X and it doesnt work that well. The only relief I get is in taking a hot, REALLY HOT, bath... it helps me pass the gas and sometimes go more than I would in a toilet.
Does anyone know how long it will take to resume nomal life??
Or have any other suggestions for gas..?
My antibiotics are a 2 week regimen, I had pouchitis about 5yr ago after original construction of the pouch but it was nowhere near as bad as this =[
My job is giving trouble letting me be out of work...
Please help!

You might want to try "Super Digestive Enzymes" instead of Gas-X.  I recommend you get them from LifeExtensions or Solray brands as I've used both brands and could tell no difference.  Gas is very painful.  You might want to try laying on your stomach and also sticking your butt up in the air. Like a downward dog yoga pose.

I've had hernia surgery but not a hernia on my j-pouch. Hopefully it will get better soon.

This link should be at it's contents.  I worked for me and several others here 3-4 years ago.  Like Scott says "no guarantees".  It's in clear gel cap so I think it gets into our systems sooner than Bean-O. That and/or the combination of ingredients.  It's not a weird Chinese herb.  Solaray and LifeExtension brands worked the same for me and I first bought it from a retail vitamin aisle.
