I have this strange, recurring pattern that I'm trying to make sense of.  Typically, if my youngest son gets a cold and is coughing and snotty, I end up catching it.  I get it first in my throat, which becomes sore and then my ears get plugged up.  Over the course of a few days, I start getting sick with pouchitis.  Oddly, my body temperature goes haywire despite no fever.  I get so cold I sleep with a bunch of blankets, socks, sweatshirt and it tends to last about a day.  I just feel freezing the whole time.  At this point, pouchitis is full blown and I'm dealing with the whole fun gamut of diarrhea, and, also strangely, I have this oddly heightened sense of smell when it comes to people's breath.  I find that all people have this common strange smell to their breath.  It's super weird.  And gross.  Wondering if others find any of this in their particular cases.
