This didn't use to happen before, but lately, during and shortly after lunch, my stomach constantly is making very loud noises.  I always feel it coming right from where my stoma was.  Maybe I just never noticed it before, but I've started a new job where we have a lot of meetings, and it can be incredibly embarrassing.  I'm wondering if its because I've been eating alot of new things of late and my stomach is working harder to digest.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I too have a noisy tummy. It is bubbles rolling around in there. It is pretty normal, as far as I can tell, but it can be disconcerting if you are in a meeting.

I agree that using the restroom say before your meeting will help. I try eating tidbits of food instead of a entire meal if I am going to be in a situation where I want a calm gut, like in a meeting or for me on a plane.

I am a professor, I stand up in auditoriums, on a stage, in front of 50+ young adults and spout and speak and jump around for 8hr...Stomach noises? Yes, Burps? Yes, Farts? No (thank G-d...I have a k pouch), Leaks, No...for the same reason.

It is human. It is life. It is the way we are built and guess what? Them too.

This noise thing is not exclusive to pouchers or Baggers or whoever you are...it is exclusive to all humans (and dogs, cats...) so please, stop being so self-conscious about it...you are a normal member of the human race and you have a digestive process just like everyone else on the planet...Some make noise, some make smells and some make messes...don't sweat it so much...they will never know that it is you, they will probably think that it is them...

Or you can teach your gut to be a ventriloquist? Throw the noise across the room so that the 'other guy' thinks that he is the one...if you figure out how to do that just let me know...until then...enjoy the fact that you are now healthy, can eat and go back to work.

I know someone with this problem......it never went away. They have the same issue, and they work in administration, so meetings. They don't eat at work at all. Then they eat a lot more on the weekends. When I was at a christmas dinner last year, when they talked after they ate....it was in a high pitched voice. They did this to hide the sounds. My opinion.....Who cares. Starving oneself to me is not ideal. I understand why....but I guess the person would have to disclose why noises are roaring for people to understand( which in itself can suck ). However, on the flip side, hiding a sound ppl can hear is more devistating. Once I knew of their problem, it didn't bother me...because I understood it. Idk, I hope this helps a little. All the luck!
