Hi guys, hey is it normal to still have horrible gas 2 months after take down? I take beano before meals, lactaid before dairy, and fast relief antacid/anti-gas tablets, still I have gas. It's really noisy runny through the intestines, it's rather painful and it is making for many more bathroom trips. I couldn't get into my GIs office until Aug. Made that appt. after my reversal surgery May 15 th. Any insight or ideas to help would be greatly appreciated. If this is normal, I will suck it up and try to be more patient. I will say, I haven't really been watching what i eat. Help! This is driving me nuts. Kind of embarrassing sitting in a crowd and all the sudden here comes the noisy gas.
I’ve had my takedown 37yrs ago and still suffer with gas, sometime extreme, sometimes normal. Just seems to be the way it is with our plumbing. When it happens to me in public, most think it’s hunger pains, I just go with that.
Hope it gets better for you.
Thanks YTCROCKPOT for your reply. I'm really hoping it starts to get more manageable and less painful. I would really like to go back to work sometime soon.
I do take extra strength gas pills, they help sometimes. Its hit or miss with food, sometimes I’ll go months with no gas, who knows what triggers it.
