My problem is not from getting "stuff" around my stoma. I have that under control with coloplast convex wafer and paste. My problem is rash and itching under the adhesive further from the stoma. I have talked to coloplast, suggestion was to stop the extended ware wafer. I have tried stoma powder with very little relief. The itching gets so bad I end up changing the wafer every other day. The Holister samples actually made the situation worse. Again the problem is probably with the adhesive. I have also tried skin barrier wipes. I also have used a steroid cream, put it on, wipe off excess then put on wafer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I think my next step may be to go to the wound nurse at the hospital or visit a support group. What do you think??
