Doc has me taking a bottle of magnesium citrate the night before and clears for dinner, and then a fleet enema in the am.
Will the magnesium make me go 30+ times? Should I anticipate butt burn? Idk what to expect. Can I just drink half of it??

Also, how long does it take for the bottle to "work" given that I have no colon. How long will it take to do its business from start to finish?
I too, would like to know, I have a pouch check next week and a scope going into my throat to my stomach.. Hope some knows !!!
So I drank the entire bottle and it started working within an hour. Not too many trips to the bathroom (maybe 10 more than normal). But the butt burn was a little uncomfortable.
The enema was okay- I just went slow putting it in and didn’t go in too far.
After the procedure, I had a good amount of leakage, more than before I had my pouch. So be prepared for that. Good luck!
Yikes, I'm scared that they will go to far and pop it or scrape it. Did you have yours done then? Hope all went well for you. I don't get it , why we have to drink all that stuff, I get cleaned out every time to go to the bathroom.
I guess it gets cleaned out even more when you take that stuff, idk. I’m sure it helps or they shouldn’t be giving it to us, but who knows (lol). The doc I have does pouchoscopies a lot actually. The nurse said it accounts for half of all the scopes he does. That made me feel a lot better 
My prep has been no food after 6:00 P.M. and a tap water Fleet enema the morning of the scope. That's it. Works fine.
I had a scope last week. My prep began with a day of clears, then a 119g Miralax powder mixed in a 32 oz Gaterade; plus 4 Laxatives and 4 gas x pills. Worked great, was easy on the body, and allowed the Doctor to see what he needed to. Unfortunately I still have ulcers to heal but the scope itself went well.
