I had open surgery for adhesion removal back in March.  I develop scar tissue very readily so my whole incision area is really hard and I can feel lots of scar tissue underneath.  In the past couple weeks though, there is one spot that comes out to a point as if someone had a needle under my skin and was trying to push it through.  It's really tender to the touch from my pants rubbing on it.  There is lots of hard, dense tissue around it, so I assume it's scar tissue, but also wondering if it could be a stitch underneath that didn't dissolve properly?  It's very near my incision line.  If it is a stitch, anything that can be done?  It definitely not something that could be pulled out as it's still a ways under some very thick skin.  Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience.  Doesn't seem like an abscess or anything.  No signs of infection there.

Thanks!

Clz,

Could very well be a stitch that will work itself up to the surface (then you can grab it with a tweezer and gently pull (you can use alcohol or betadine  to clean off the material and area first please)

It happens...usually it is not a biggie unless it really hurts or gets infected (keep it covered with a bandage or clean gauze to protect the area from rubbing against your pants and wait and see unless something funky happens)
