Round 2 of kneedle/knife therapy for sinus

Shen did the needle knife for me too on July 31. I had it done a year ago and it worked, he had to do it four times. But a year later I had pain again. In may he saw another sinus, so needle knife and doxycycline injection. Then this past few weeks I develop an abscess near the rectum and a colorectal surgeon in my state took me into the OR and cleaned it out. I had my appointment with Shen the following week and when he scoped he saw it originated in the rectum and now he fears I have crohn's. In the afternoon appointment he decided to put me on 6-mp, tindamax, and cipro. I have to return in three months for another needle knife and evaluate if the meds are working. This is my second pouch and I hope this works because it is starting to interfere with my quality of life, because I'm not feeling energetic and I am not able to do things I like such as golf,walk,or just go out at night with the guys and yuck it up on a Friday. Ted, what time was your procedure? mine was 10 but didnt get in there with him till almost noon. Nurse told me whoever was before me was also getting this procedure and it was taking extra time. was that you? lol. well i hope it works for me, if not he said surgery but my surgeon disagrees. from MRI he feels its been there since leak from initial surgery 4 years ago.its not causing me any issues besides some inflammation which Shen didnt find the sinus until after taking Entocort and cleared up all my inflammation. i will try the therapy a few more times and then i am done. I will take my chances with it if it ever decides to abcess, i will deal with all that crap then. good luck to you Ted, keep me posted.
