I visited my GI last week. It was my first visit since I started Remicade infusions back on June 20.  So it's been nearly 4 months of Remicade and a total of 4 infusions.  I haven't noticed any improvement at all.  My GI said that she is going to have me take one more infusion along with a blood test to see how much of the drug is getting into my bloodstream.

She basically said that if I don't see any improvement, that she would take me off of the treatments.  She is not sure if there is anything else she can do for me other than looking into surgical options and possibly trying Entyvio.  She was also going to talk to another very experienced GI about my situation.

If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears.

If Remicade fails then it makes sense to try another medication - Entyvio would be a good choice. Why is this even a question? You may need to find a more knowledgeable GI, but it’s a good sign that she’s planning to consult with a more experienced doc.
