Question about abdominal pain?

I have had my jpouch now for 3 years after an emergency surgery to remove my colon due to what the doctors thought was ulcerative colitis. Fast forward 2 years and I have since been diagnosed with crohns. I am currently on Humira which has been working great up until about 2 weeks ago. I started with abdominal pain and now I have pretty severe pain after I eat. I have a constant urge to have a BM but not moving my bowels very much. I started vomiting yesterday I think because the pain was so bad but today just have nausea. Does this sound like a blockage or stricture? The pain is near my stomach on the left side no where near my ileostomy site. I've never had either so what is the treatment for both? My surgeon is seeing me first thing in the morning and I want to know what to expect? Jan I would love your input on this. Thanks!

Could be an obstruction, symptoms sure fit. But could also be pouchitis. I used to think abdominal pain that was not low pelvic was not likely to be pouchitis. But, after nesrly 20 years with my pouch, I proved myself wrong. I thought for sure I was obstructed or had gallbladder/liver problems, but labs were good and the pain would come and go, not associated with eating. Had a scope and sure enough, a serious case of pouchitis. A couple of weeks of Flagyl set me straight.

Now, with a Crohn's diagnosis, that adds another layer to this. Could be you are having a Crohn's flare. Even if Humira is effective, it does not mean you can't have flares. They are just going to be less frequent, and hopefully less severe.
