im sorry you’re experiencing that. It can be pretty irritating and uncomfortable. What did the doc prescribe or give you- hydrocortisone or suppositories? Prob not the sups since you’re still so recently out of surgery I’d imagine. And you prob still have butt burn and are going a lot I bet. Also how was it diagnosed? Did they do a pouchoscopy or was the doc just assuming that’s what it is? 

I guess in theory it can happen whenever, even right after surgery, since the rectal cuff is still the large intestine. I had it two years out and it was super itchy, irritated and painful to go. But it cleared up rather quickly. 

@Bubba1028  hi! I haven’t been prescribed anything yet, unfortunately. I have to do a video chat with my dr and see what he says next week. I luckily don’t experience too much butt burn because I have a bidet, but I do go to the bathroom more than I would like to, for sure. But I would say the bathroom visits are getting better with time. He found this out by doing a pouchoscopy. That’s hopefully yours didn’t last that long, I hope mine doesn’t last too long either.
