I have been having problems with pouchitus, however I think I have been able to get in under control with VSL#3, and Dr. Gundry Prebiotics,  I have control of my bowel movements now and now discomfort.  Not currently taking any antibiotics or using Canasa.  But I still have problems with leaking at night.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Could it just be some Pouchitus issues?  I have never had leaking at night except maybe after a really bad blockage.  Any suggestions would be very appreciated.  Have had my pouch for 16 years.

I think it could be a sign that your pouchitis is not as under control as you think, based on my own past history.  Have you been scoped recently?  The only suggestion I would make, beyond effective treatments for pouchitis like antibiotics and biologics, is to try an anti-spasmodic in case the issue is being caused by a spasmodic pouch.  I actually think it's more likely pouchitis, as nighttime leakage was always a sign of slippage for me.

I think you are probably right, but not having any other pouchitus symptoms.  I have never used and anti-spasmodic, can you give some examples?

Levsin (which I prefer, the generic of which is hyoscamine), and bentyl are the two main anti-spasmodics and if you have a spasmodic pouch issue one at bedtime would help. If they do not help then I would think the issue is likely being caused by pouchitis.
