Hi all! Been a minute since I've been on the board, as my life post-surgery has been pretty pain free. However, I'm three years out and having a real issue with continual butt burn. I have a fantastic paste I get from the Cleveland Clinic (where I had my surgery) that helps with it after I get it, but I'm interested in preventing it. I'm not sure if the burn is due to the number of BMs I have a day or the fact that I don't have formed stools and so the stomach/intestinal acid reaches my poor skin all the time. Suggestions? Thanks!

Connie has the answer!! If you can't get one google the 'medical supply co.com' and it will take you right to it and type in Perineal plastic squirt bottles, they are so cheap and you can get a dozen very inexpensive, they do the trick if a Bidet is not what you can get at this time. They have several sprays on the end and also this is what they give at the hospital for hemroid surgery, they are so helpful.
