Prepopik for bowl prep pouchoscopy??

Seems similar to your mag citrate prep. A purgative and you fill in with clear liquids. your doc may want cleaned out extra well if a dilation is planned.

I would question the bowel prep again and make sure to talk to the doctor (the nurses that usually send the instructions aren't used to sending standard bowel preps).  I've had countless pouchoscopies and the most we've ever done is no food after midnight and water enemas before the scope.  They always tell me that if there is anything in there that didn't get cleaned out that they can flush it out really easily at the start of the scope.

Lesson learned... triple check with the office and double check with the Doctor. 

Now it's just 

Clear liquid fast dinner 

10 oz magnesium citrate

Nothing after midnight 

That became much easier. 

I find they generally get it wrong the first time and I have to call and make sure.

Yeah. My GI has been pestered enough that he now just just writes this prep order: "Patient knows what to do."

Your mag citrate prep is essentially the same as half of the other stuff. I used to take the mag citrate but haven't for years. Didn't hurt me, but didn't make much difference either way.

I'm having a pouchoscopy next week and I've been told no preparations needed.

I think they may give me an enema just before the procedure
