No need for Predisone now that i have my pouch but i took a lot of it for almost 2 years. My skin on my arms and face is very thin now it tears and gets blood blisters with just a bump on anything.I have not taken Prednisone in almost 3 years but its not getting any better.I use lotion everyday and it helps but this sucks, i bleed almost everyday at work.Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?

I look like an abused wife! I think my thin skin is attributed to age and genes. I haven't taken prednisone on a regular basis for over ten years. My dermatologist advised I walk carefully around my house. No swinging arms and keep my arms crossed across my chest while walking in my house. I'm always bumping into something! I do notice an improvement in the bruising situation if I pay more attention to what my arms and hands are doing.
Recently I have noticed these dark patches on my face. Its more noticeable in the summer time when my face gets sun even with sunscreen on. My sister had the same thing happen and her nurse friend told her its from the prednisone. I have never inquired about it with my doctor. I do bruise very easily too. I wonder how many people have this happen. Thank goodness for make up.
My daughter was on prednisone for a little over a year, she has never had an acne problem and suddenly now that she is off prednisone she has a hot mess all around her chin and mouth - so much what looks like acne but i am thinking its more than than and will be taking her to a dermatologist. It may not have anything to do with the prednisone, but it's bad
