Pouchoscopy and menstruation

Had a routine Pouchoscopy on Tuesday and happened to start my period later on the same day. When I first had my large intestine removed I started to experience extremely painful periods, something about scar tissue near my uterus. However, for the past year and a half, I have been having relatively manageable periods. However, so far this one has been extremely painful. Is there any way the scope could have messed with my cycle, causing my increased pain? Has anyone experienced something similar to this?
