IT OCCURRED TO ME that for some of us who suffer and need antibiotics all the time that we may have pouchitis or S.I.B.O. AT ANY GIVEN TIME..BUT THEY ARE BOTH TREATED SAME WAY BY DOCTORS so they do not bother to check which it is except if you happen to be getting your checkup..after years of diagnosis of pouchitis with mild pouchitis showing dr. shen started thereafter to think it was bacteria overgrowth because pouch looked good for three years straight..then on next yearly checkup he saw mild pouchitis.. so i guess it could be one or the other and a rose is a rose by any name??

scott pacifically used doxycicline for s.i.b.o. wold love to know more about that?did it work..does he stay on it continually? does it really matter ..maybe? because it seems maybe pouchitis is even more complicated as to the why ..and S.I.B.O. IS BACTERIA OVERGROWTH ELINIMATE BAD BACTERIA PRODUCING THINGS LIKE FOODS,TAKE PROBIOTICS SHOULD DO IT???

THIS IS ALL TO OPEN THOUGHTS ON ABOVE..

THANKS..REBE
