Hello

I had take down surgery last year and have just had some unexpected results following a scope of my pouch, which have really frightened me. I'd really appreciate any advice from you.

Earlier this year I had a scope and a few very small ulcers were found,. My gastro wasn't concerned about this saying that ulcers are often seen in pouches but my pouch nurse recommended that I took cipro. It was strange as I hadn't had any symptoms that I was hugely concerned about but I did what my pouch nurse recommended.

Recently I have had sore eyes but no increase in frequency (sometimes liquid, sometimes solid, sometimes bits of mushrooms etc not being digested). I have experienced some bloating recently but no urgency and most nights sleep through no problems at all. No incontinence. However, my recent scope showed an increase in the number of ulcers, which are larger but superficial.

I'm really scared about what this means. It'll be a while before we get the histology results.

Does it just mean that I need to take another course of ABs or is it something more sinister?

Has anybody experienced anything similar and am I worrying unnecessarily?

Please help

Huge thanks in advance

Niro
