Has anyone's experienced a pouch prolapse before. I'm having trouble finding any information on it. I've had my functional j pouch now for almost 3 weeks. The last week I've developed a lot of pain and pressure after bowel movements. It has become increasingly hard to empty my bowels. I get nauseous while trying. I have developed a bulge around me anus and it feels like tissue is coming out. I can't seem to eat anything solid without now having cramping in my bowels and excruiating pain in what feels like the bottom of my pouch. I see the dr. Tomorrow but I'm not sure what to expect. Any advice on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

So my surgeon said I do indeed have a pouch prolapse. It's not the entire pouch just an inch or so that comes out during BM. He wants me to try Physical therapy to see if that will help before proceeding to another surgery. My question is how can physical therapy help? And in the mean time I'm supposed to wait out the excruiating pain?
