I am about 2 months out from my colectomy and jpouch surgery. I have not had my take down surgery yet but I am noticing that my discharge from my jpouch changes. Most of the time it’s a sand color with a little texture but occasionally it’s a little bloody or even old blood. Is this normal for the discharge to change? I notice it more when I have been on my feet all day or during my period my discharge can increase. No pain, no discomfort.

Before I got reconnected I didn't have any discharge out of my butt until shortly before that surgery was scheduled.  I had a bunch of fluid come out and it was light-colored, and almost white.  It also kind of burned.  I also had sores in my mouth.  I told my surgeon I thought I had a yeast infection throughout my alimentary canal and he, in his infinite wisdom, ignored me.  Then when he went to do the surgery the fluid came rushing out and he freaked out and quarantined me at the end of some forgotten hospital hallway.  Nobody would even give me any food or check on me.  They tested the fluid and, lo and behold, it was yeast!  Who would have thought a woman could know more about what is happening in her body than some man, whose body it isn't?  And it wasn't even the womb that's inside me but now (as of last June) without my consent belongs to the state of Texas.  So that was just a practice run I guess.

...so to make a long story short, yeasty discharge is possible.  And my state government is rife with misogynistic assholes, and it's truly not OK.
