Was home for the holidays and suddenly developed a kind of aching pain in the perineum region (between scrotum and anus). I've felt the area for lumps, etc. and nothing. It went away for about a week and then recently came back. I'm hoping this isn't some sort of anal fissure that's opened up into this region. I've had fissures before but they've always occurred with an inflamed bump where this time, it's just more of a tender region - and is closer to the posterior end of the scrotum than the anus. Any males ever get anything similar? Was thinking may be the prostate gland perhaps but wanted to rule out a Colitis related / J-Pouch related cause if there's some sort of connection.
