Dr. Shen at Cleveland Clinic has ordered 10 sessions of biofeedback for me due to prolapsed jpouch and I was wondering if anyone has had this done at CC and if so, what your experience has been with it. He was highly suggesting that I come to CC for this as instead of having it done in Michigan where I live due to the experience at CC with j pouches. If any of you have traveled to CC for this, were the sessions scheduled 5 days week for 2 weeks or more spread out? It will be quite an expense due to missing work/need for hotel but want to do whatever I can to improve my condition. Any recommendations of where to stay other than on campus lodging? Also, anyone have positive experience with pelvic biofeedback in Detroit/Ann Arbor MI area? Thank you!

I had to do biofeedback and was also told to have it the hospital where I had surgery which is 2.5 hours away. I opted to have it done locally instead, and it was not effective. So, I went to where I was told to go, and it worked!

Based on my experience, I would recommend you go to the CC. They know more about this kind of stuff and probably have staff that do nothing but work with folks like us.

I go to CC and I actually just saw Bo Shen about a month ago. I'm not sure what your testing is about but when we go there we stay at the Guesthouse which is right on the CC campus. It's about 90 to 100 a night which is the cheapest. You can also rent a room in one of the CC houses which I think is 30 a day. You can call CC and ask them about that. Good Luck!
Suebear-did you have biofeedback for prolapse? Did it prevent you from having to have surgical repair? Akk3769, Guesthouse is usually where I stay when at CC and it is quite convenient-was thinking of somewhere else that has shuttle which would be good location off CC campus but probably will end up at Guesthouse. Thanks for replies!
