Preparing for reversal and passing blood???

I apologize ahead of time if I am too graphic! I am going in for my final j pouch surgery in a few days, I felt the urge to push this morning, did and noticed that I passed some red blood with mucus. Not sure if this is normal as I have the j pouch that is not hooked up yet with a loop stoma. Is this normal or is something going on? I was hospitalized 2 weeks ago with a twisted bowel and blockage, (nasal tube and morphine). Also had pouchogram, a mth ago to see if there were any leakages before final surgery. Not sure if any of these may have contributed to it or not. Thanking you in advance for your help!

Could be from your obstruction, but more likely from your rectal cuff. No reason to delay your take-down.
