I’m 3.5 weeks out from my takedown and haven’t had any problems until Saturday early morning. Felt something tweak on my right side near old stoma incision. Woke up in a lot of pain the next morning in that same area. Could hardly walk sometimes.

I’m still passing gas and stool and I am able to eat/drink. Today seemed to be a little better overall but I’m wondering if y’all have any tips to help breakup the blockage? My surgeon said lots of water and basic foods. I also stopped taking my Imodium since all this happened.

Also wondering how long something like this might last (in a perfect world).

Thanks!

Update: the team think this could just be normal post op stuff and my body adjusting to the new normal. Up until now I hadn’t had any issues so it was more surprising than anything.

1 day at a time I suppose when it comes to people in our situation!
