So, I was just going over my records from my recent hospital stay.  I wanted to see if the area that blocked was the same one as the last bowel obstruction and it was  Anyway, I last had a CT scan about 18 months ago.  In those 18 months, my main duct in the pancreas has now dilated about 5mm.

Has anyone had any experience with this?  I do not have pancreatitis nor any cysts.  Doing some research (I know, online stuff can be scary) this is a predictor of future risk for pancreatic cancer.  I have a very dear aunt who was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer two months ago.  I'm freaking out.

I have a follow up with my GI doc in about 10 days and I will further discuss then with him.  But in the meantime I was wondering if any of you have had this?  Our digestive systems are definitely not "normal" and this may just be something that a lot of J-pouchers experience after decades with the pouch.  I'm at 20 years with a pouch.

My GI doc is amazing and has a lot of j-pouch experience so I know he will answer all my questions, I just can't get into see him quickly and I don't want to take up his "emergency" slots as I'm not an emergency patient at the moment.

Thanks for all of your help and support over the years.  This website has truly been a godsend.
