Ordinarily, I would say go ahead and take Motrin or whatever, as long as it is not for more than a week or two (that is what I do and it is fine for me). But, based on your other posts and being in the throes of moderately severe pouchitis, I don't think it is recommended. Feel free to continue to take the Tylenol with codeine and ask Dr. Shen for something else, if that does not help enough. But, yes, your aches and pains could easily be from the pouchitis, so it should improve as your pouchitis does. I felt like I had the flu when I had pouchitis.
