out put coming out of jpouch and didnt even get my takedown yet??

Ok, I'm really curious as to why I have stool coming from my jpouch and why I pass gas though my anus? I didn't even have my takedown yet? It's ALWAYS exactly the color of the same stuff in my bag. It's not mucous because I have that too and it's totally different. Also I pass gas?? like full on farts. I have control over them too and the stool coming out. I'm wondering HOW?? and WHY is this happening. I woke up today and I totally went to the bathroom and it was a lot enough to make a pouring sound.. It's exactly the same as whats in my bag and when I wipe it looks to real. Whats going on?

I think your ileo hasn't totally cut off the flow through your intestines and part of your poop is getting out through your j-pouch. You probably want to call your doctor and ask but I'm thinking if it isn't causing pain it's ok. Some people have one step procedures and skip the stoma step entirely.

toughenough- Can you explain that a little more to me? I'm kinda scared. My insurance changed and not even sure if I'm covered. Yes it does cause me pain but Im managing it with pain medication. How would the flow get to my pouch if its sticking out through my tummy? OR you mean latched on to my intestine in my stomach and pulling it through?

i didn't have a loop ileo, but i understand this is perfectly normal!! some of the stool "bypasses" the loop ostomy and goes into the j-pouch. think of the loop ostomy as a hose folded over and cut halfway through. some of it comes out into the ostomy bag, the other goes into the j-pouch.

A temp ileo is twisted (loop) and not cut. Think of a a garden hose when you crimp it to stop the water from coming out but a little still drips out. That's what I think is happening, especially since the poo is the same color as what's in your bag.

There could be a problem if your healing j-pouch has a hole or something wrong with it so at a minimum I think you should call your surgeon's office and ask if you should be worried. Some people have the entire surgery in one step as the percentages of a leak in the j-pouch are so low but I don't like percentages anymore.
