I've been drinking the St Marks Rehydration Solution
http://www.stmarksnhshospital..../Electrolyte-mix.pdf

Glucose that contains Vitamin C is widely available and Glucose without Vitamins is not so easy to purchase.

Does Glucose with Vitamin C provide any additional benefits for rehydration ?

Is there any reason not to use the vitamin C Glucose in the rehydration solution ?

St Marks, Oral Rehydration Solution states to use Glucose, with no mention of added Vitamin C.

Thanks for the replies.

I knew the added Vitamin wasn't going to kill me.

When anemic, I was prescribed Iron pills and advised to drink orange juice, as Vitimin C in the juice helps the body absorb the iron.

With being told that too much sugar in the stomach can cause dehydration & now glucose; I didn't want to use Glucose with an added Vitimin only to discover it had a detrimental effect on what I'm trying too achieve, hence the question.

Aside from water, surely glucose is the most fundamental component of any rehydration solution, especially due to the quantity added when compared to other ingredients.
