Went back to work today...my school has 2 buildings about 1mile apart and I have 15mins between classes...so I shave 5 mins off of each class to not be too late but I hotfoot it the whole time...got to the buiilding, new class, new classroom, much rushing...finally ran into the handicapped stall for quick relief...then ran into class.

I didn't have time to go back for a quick empty at break so at 9pm a popped in before leaving the building...and found my syringe and tube sitting in the sink...un rinced!

This is the 1st time in 35yrs that I have forgotten my stuff anywhere...I just stared at it and wondered how it got there...no recollection of forgetting it...I would have swore like a sailor tomorrow in school when I would have discovered that I did not have my stuff...I must have been so rushed that I threw it into the sink before covering my stoma and forgot to rince it...(usually I just use my spray bottle)...And ran out to the regular sinks to wash my hands.

I cannot imagine the face of whoever entered the stall and saw it sitting there and then ran out again!

(Lucky that no one threw it out)

Don't feel bad.  I did a dumb thing yesterday at work.

I have an ileo.  But going through the motions... Rinsing... Cleaning and such.  I also work outside so I have extra clothes to pull up and things to tuck in.  And my mind was on that and a small what my surgeon called a granulation?  Anyway... My incision had split a little and I was checking that... Got done put everything away and forgot to roll up the end of my bag!  Didn't take long to realize what I had forgotten to do!  First time I did that.  And will hopefully be the last time.  Fortunately I rinse very well and it was just water I felt.

But it's not like leaving supplies behind.

Just a funny to pass along.

Richard.
