Has anyone had any experience with nutritional yeast? It's an ingredient that is used in a lot of vegan recipes as a dairy replacement, especially in vegan cheese, to give it a "cheesy" flavor. I think it's made from dead yeast, but I'm not sure. It's supposed to have a lot of B vitamins, which is always a good thing for J pouchers. I'd like to cut down on the amount of dairy products I eat, just because of the fat and cholesterol. (not for any pouch related reason)

So my question is this - Is nutritional yeast ok for J pouchers - or anyone with IBD? Has anyone had any problems with it? Can it cause pouchitis or yeast infections/bacteria imbalance problems?
