I went though this for years! I'm a very hard sleeper once I can actually get to sleep. So I would sleep right through the pain and wake up to having to strip the bed and take a shower. I started having to set an alarm for every hour to get up and go potty. But not getting good sleep will take its toll on your body. Then one day it just stopped. I could sleep all night, granted I would explode in the morning. But that's better than it was. Cutting out gluten helped alot for me too. My biggest problem was that I was so gassy and my pouch is extremely low. My whole rectum had to be removed and reconstructed. Unfortunately it's never the same. So once my gas was more under control there wasn't so much pressure in my pouch. But that's just me. Unfortunately recently I've been starting to have issues again.
