I just got home from my third surgery in 30 days. Yes, thats right 3 in 1 month. I had the pouch removed, went home then back for gallbladder surgery lapro then home 11 days doing good. Then had pain cramping and vomiting back to hospital. CT showed a kink so surgeon tried to irrigate stoma to undo, no go. Surgeon went back in through the incision site and said he resolved it. I am weak, underweight (106) and terrifed of something else happening. I am eating like a baby bird and keeping low residue and being very careful. The surgery was 6 days ago. One of my main issues is nausea after this last surgery. I use saltines and have a script for Zofran. Anyone have any words of advice on the nausea. Can it be tied to when contents go into the ileostomy? Does anyone have any luck with ginger? I want to keep down what little fookd I eat. I had no complications when I had my first surgery 7 years ago. This whole ordeal has been a nightmare. I was holding up pretty good after the 2nd surgery but the third has done me in phyically and emotionally i feel like a cross between an infant and an invalid. Surgeon really good but zero bedside manner and not too compassionate about complications.
Thnaks in advance
