Hi Lisa,

I have Crohn's also. There is a website call the Crohn's Forum and they have a discussion on there about medical marijuana. Here is the link.

My state of CT just passed a medical marijuana law this past year. There is a list of illnesses that you need to have and Crohn's is one of them. I have no idea how they came up with the list though and why certain illnesses got on the list and some did not. I will try to find out what the criteria is for Crohn's to be on the list.

I also live in NY and am keeping my fingers crossed that they will legalize it! After I was having so many problems with nausea and pain so I decided to buy recreational marijuana and try it. Just a small amount once a day helped my life so much more. I could eat without being nauseous, I had energy to get things done, and I wasn't in pain anymore. Even though I don't have my colon I still have some inflammation in my rectum stem which the marijuana reduced. Just don't smoke if you are taking any antdepressants or anti anxiety meds.
