I don't think it will directly effect pouchitis. But it certainly helps me with appetite, gas pain and stress. I've never tried eating it raw, but vaping/smoking and edibles have helped me deal with pouchitis for the last year or so. I mainly use it help with my appetite and dealing with the gas pain I get. I don't know if I've shaken pouchitis yet but I just finished my 3rd set of antibiotics, seems to go and come back.

Good luck with your search

Do you believe that the cannabis as also known as only for addiction is now can be your alternative medicine? Cannabis now has many benefits that will be good for your health. Cannabis oil is produced by extracting the resin of the female cannabis plant using a solvent. After the resin is dissolved in the solvent, It is evaporated leaving a concentrated extract behind. CBD Oil is a type of oil that contains CBD but does not contain THC which can give you a high efficiency. CBD Oil is from that cannabis flower, However, Cannabis now is proven that can help people to relieve pains or lessen seizure attacks. I have read many articles suggesting that cannabis has a very potent effect when it comes with pain and inflammation like this strain on blimburnseeds.com/gorilla-glue-4-marijuana-seeds

Tobacco, cigarettes and smoking was once deemed sexy and cool, and never considered a cancerogenic.

No mention of medical Cannabis on the link provided ?

Although, the website uses terms such as:
Potent Strain, Intense Cerebral Punch, Immediate Euphoric Effect and Absolute Relaxing Buzz !

Hardly medical terminology of the effects of pain control.

CHARA...... As you only joined the forum on the 3 October 2018, I guess the link is to your own website and your attempting to "push" your merchandise under the guise of "research claims medical Cannabis will ease pain;" hoping that user's will eventually buy the Herbal Cannabis once the placebo effect of the Cannabis Oil has worn off and they mistakenly believe they need something stronger.

Much of this has been discussed in prior threads, but it is always to keep it current/relevant.  To clear any confusion, there is no "medical marijuana" - this is simply a term used to differentiate between weed purchased under some state regulatory umbrella versus that purchased either illegally or through licensed dispensaries.  Here in Oregon (the wild wild West of legal weed), there are "recreational" and "medical" dispensaries.  The difference here being that "medical" purchases avoid state sales taxation and only are for medical marijuana card carriers.  Everybody else pays taxes.  I have read here that some states have "medical grade" marijuana that may have a limited maximum THC potency (e.g., 10%) whereas recreational weed can push 25% THC.  As others have mentioned, that is a silly constraint to put on the product.

Personally, I have tried CBD extract capsules and find these do wonders for improved sleep patterns - a lot less bowel discomfort and waking up during the night.  To me, night bowel behavior is crucial to my physical/emotional well-being.  The use of CBD extracts does not make the user 'high' as there is very little (or no) psychoactive THC.  My understanding is that the CBD oils are extracted from specific strains of hemp and not the high-octane cannabis that is in the news so much these days.  Access to CBD extracts is a bit limited, however, even here in Weedland Oregon.  My guess is that this industry will grow if/when the federal mantra of "ALL WEED IS EVIL - even HEMP" abates, allowing research $$ to flow as needed.

Have you tried the oils as well? Or only the capsules?

DarrenKS, thanks for your response - are the CBD capsules you are taking an over the counter product?  I have been to a dispensary and have been using a dry leaf (flower) product via vaporizer with a 1:1 ratio of THC to CBD and it has helped a lot.  Before starting it, I thought for sure I'd have to go back on Cipro since I developed all the symptoms for Pouchitis again, but the pouch has calmed down and I'm feeling pretty good.
