I had a J pouch done 3 years ago. A stapler was used. I need to do a "magnetic resonance" examination. They asked me if I had metal in my body because it should not be available for this examination. Does anyone have experience? What kind of metal is it that they put in for J pouch surgery? The menu in medical documents says "TT cum Stalper"

The staples are generally made of titanium, and pose no MRI risk. You should let them know that the staples are there, though.
Are you having an MRI done specifically on the pouch (MRI Enterography) or on some other body part or area? I have had the MRI Enterography done and this was a non issue and has been a non issue in numerous other radiology studies including CT scans, PET scans, and abdominal ultrasounds. I don't think I have any staples In my J Pouch. I was told that they dissolved post surgically, and nothing has ever been visualized or indicated in any of these studies. So there could be different approaches on the procedure in terms of suturing the J Pouch.
