Hi all,

I am 1.5 weeks after takedown. Things are going pretty smoothly. Not digging the spasms I get throughout the day. I hope they subside over the next month or so. They remind me of a flare up when I had colitis. From what I have researched, these are quite normal and will continue until my j pouch adapts to it's new function. They are annoying. I try to have BMfevers 3 hours or more. So far, so good.

I am currently going about 8 times a day, which includes 2 times at night.

I have had some minor butt itching the last couple of nights, but not too bad.

All in all, things are progressing nicely. The pain is about 80 percent subsided from the surgery.

My biggest complaint right now are the spasms. I wasn't expecting these. I will be very happy when they have subsided. They are quite a nuisance.

All in all, I just need to be patient (which is so much easier said then done for me!). Just need to keep reminding myself it is all part of my journey.

Anyway, gotta go. I will give another update in a week or 2.

Peace,
Mark

Hi Mark,

I'm doing really well so far. They sent me home from
the hospital last Friday and I'm averaging 8-9 BM's a
day right now with most of them in the early evening.

The pain is pretty much under control and I've been up
and out of the house early the past few days taking some
long walks on the beach. I've had a few minor episodes
of butt burn but nothing terrible. I've been real
cautious so far on eating trying to get a good handle
on what works and what dosen't.

Glad to hear you're doing well and things should only
get better!
