Yes, I'm posting again. I am once again horribly upset and unsure what to do. I have had so many issues since takedown, and I just don't know what is going on. I was diagnosed with C-diff. Almost two weeks ago. I had it before, when I had a colon and the vancomycin worked.

Vancomycin is not working now. Flagyl worked really well at first, but now doesn't seem to be (maybe.) I am no longer having urgency or cramping, but I am having a hard time going on the toliet. I have to strain really hard, but nothing wants to come out. And I am leaking stool (not just liquid, but mushy, harder consistency stool) CONSTANTLY. At night. During the day. When I'm moving around, when I'm just laying down. Sometimes I feel it, but often I don't. I'm horribly embarrassed.

Does C-Diff cause leakage? Am I leaking all the time because the C-Diff isn't responding to antibiotics?

Or is the leakage unconnected to the C-diff? I do feel better. But this leakage is not okay. It doesn't make sense to me that it would happen all the time. I also don't think I should still be struggling to "go." I feel like I'm leaking because I can't properly evacuate the pouch. If it is the C-diff---then at least I know it can be treated and fixed, though obviously I need new antibiotics or a fecal transplant.

But if it is just because my J-pouch doesn't work properly...can it be fixed? Is this normal? Could it be diet related? It seems to do it all the time, no matter what, but who knows! I just wish I knew what was normal and what was an infection. I am going to call my GI for another appointment, but any advice or ideas would help. I'd rather just have another surgery and get a BCIR or something than leak shit all day, every day, for the rest of my life.
