Hi everybody! I have had the BCIR for approximately 5 years. I have been thru so much medically (I will save that for another post; not medically related to The BCIR but other issues!) even since having it but I am very thankful I do not have to wear an external appliance at this time. I did  wear one for  year prior to my surgery. Anyway, I am writing to find out what is a "normal" amount of daily output between catherizations. I have to wear a thin maxi pad cut in half and I saturate it with fluid ( ranging in color from light to sometimes dark fluid) every 6 hours or so. The fluid does not have any thickness to it. It is very thin and has a very mild odor. I am guessing this is not normal but I have lived with it like this for years. I am a busy mom with 3 children I homeschool so I tend to put myself on the back burner...Would love to hear from others about what their normal is!!! Am wondering if I need a valve tightening? Thanks!
