I'm curious to hear about people's experience as well. Just this week I came across a container of powered glutamine hiding in the back of my cupboard. It had been suggested long time ago to me but I guess I didn't really give it much of a try. I've decided to take a tsp a day again to see if it improves the bowel. It's close to the end of its expiry date though!
I take L-Glutamine after I run or lift weights. It eliminates sore muscles and helps my guts. I usually only notice the gut part after I haven't been working out for a few days. But a coworker swears by it for her gut issues.
For me the main benefit is no more posts workout soreness. Especially if I haven't been working out in a while.

BarbieG, I use a brand from Amazon called “Pure Encapsulations” and it is in the powder form. I am not really sure about it’s interactions with other drugs so I’d say it’s better to ask your doctor or someone more knowledgeable than myself.
